Film: LIMITLESS with Chris Hemsworth

I am always so happy when global super stars and influencers in any industry create awareness for living healthier and happier lives. It creates a big butterfly effect and in a way huge endorsement for people to take their mental and physical health seriously but surely in a fun way. This is exactly what Chris Hemsworth does in Limitless.

While I was living in Dubai nearly 10 years ago (whole other story) I met and became friends with Australian expats, first Australians I got to meet in my life – this was around 2010 and they all seemed to be so integrated into creating healthier and happier lives in their everyday actions for themselves and their environment. I just loved that approached to life. They were certainly a great example and inspiration for me, actually one of them lead me to my first yoga teacher training course, one to my wellness coaching and one taught me all about the frangipani flower, I just really liked their love of nature and joyous energy.

Maybe this is why, I was even more drawn in, interested and excited when my dear husband, Umut, suggested to watch National Geographic’s documentary LIMITLESS with Chris Hemsworth, surely an Australian himself, taking on a mission to discover how we can live longer, healthier and happier lives - creating awareness on actions we can all take for longevity.

The series is a great documentary as it draws from scientific research and delivers the knowledge while Chris is facing extreme challenges in amazing natural settings. Best part of is, it confronts and educates not only on physical but mental health and well-being.

 Topics including:

  • Benefits of extreme temperatures: ice baths, cold showers, saunas

  • Role of muscles beyond strength but prevention against aging and diseases

  • Ability to master our minds and positive thinking with self-talk and mediation

  • Importance of controlled breathing and expanded awareness

  • Cellular ‘re-set’ / renewal with fasting

  • Reduce the risk of neurodegeneration and keeping our brains at work

  • Accepting mortality and freeing your own set boundaries to live a fulfilling, purposeful and meaningful life.

I would highly recommend you to watch and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we did.

Always to remember at the end of his experience, Chris Hemsworth said during his Vanity Fair interview:

Live with as big a sense of gratitude and love for life as you can
